Emergency Care

As your pet’s primary care provider, we are equipped to handle most emergencies that may arise. Our doctors have experience in emergency medicine and surgery, and our knowledgeable, highly trained staff will ensure a high standard of care for your cat or dog. If we are unable to handle an emergency for your pet, we have access to a state-of-the-art emergency facility 40 minutes away staffed 24 hours a day.

On the rare occasion that we are unavailable or busy with another emergency, it is after-hours or if the nature of the emergency requires a larger response team, we will direct you to the Boundary Bay Veterinary Specialists or the Animal Emergency Clinic of the Fraser Valley in Langley.

NOTE: Due to a national shortage of veterinarians, you may experience an extended wait time. We are all working hard to overcome this shortage and apologize for any inconvenience it may cause.

AAHA Emergency Requirements

As an AAHA-accredited practice, we are required to have emergency drugs and equipment stocked and available at all times. Having a dedicated emergency kit and area, as well as written emergency protocol, allows us to provide our patients with the best possible emergency care.
