Vaccinations

Basic vaccines protect pets from serious and sometimes fatal diseases. We don’t believe in giving pets vaccines they don’t need or in over-vaccinating. We create individually tailored vaccine programs based on your pet’s lifestyle, exposure to other animals (at kennels, daycare, etc.), and their risk of preventable diseases. Vaccines we commonly administer include:

Common Canine Vaccinations

Distemper/Adenovirus/Parainfluenza/Parvovirus (DAPP)
For puppies: at 6-8 weeks, then a booster every 3-4 weeks (min. 3 doses)
For adults: a 3-year vaccine in the second year of vaccinations

Rabies
For puppies: at 14-16 weeks
For adults: a 3-year vaccine in the second year of vaccinations

Leptospirosis
For puppies: after 12 weeks as needed based on lifestyle
For adults: annually as needed based on lifestyle

Bordatella (Kennel Cough)
For puppies: 1 or 2 vaccines after 12 weeks
For adults: annually as needed based on high exposure environments

Common Feline Vaccinations

Feline Distemper/Upper Respiratory (FVRCP)
For kittens: at 6-8 weeks, then a booster every 3-4 weeks (min. 3 doses)
For adults: a 3-year vaccine in the second year of vaccinations

Rabies
For kittens: at 14-16 weeks
For adults: 1 year after kitten series, then every 3 years after that

Feline Leukemia (LeLv)
For kittens: at 9 weeks, then a booster 3-4 weeks later
For adults: annually in young adults; every 3 years in older cats
