Hospital DirectorDr. Powell graduated in 1988 from WCVM and he has been with us since 1990. He is the current owner of the Sardis Animal Hospital. Honest, patient and dependable, Arden has made an excellent Director. He looks forward to visiting new parts of the world.

Carli Ricka, DVM
VeterinarianDr. Ricka graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and has been with us since 2006. Fun, confident and enthusiastic, Carli is a great leader in our team. She loves her husband and four kids, fitness, trail running, and learning piano.

Christa Dunsford, DVM
VeterinarianDr. Dunsford was raised in the Maritimes and attended veterinary college on Prince Edward Island. Christa is unflappable and has a calm and reassuring demeanor. When not working with dogs and cats, Dr. Dunsford enjoys spending time with horses.

Rikke Danoe, DVM
VeterinarianA 2002 graduate of the Royal Veterinary University of Denmark, Dr. Danoe has been with us since 2014. Kind, patient, friendly and always helpful, Rikke is a great addition to our team. She loves friend and family time, hiking, travel, and the outdoors.

Tara Bocking, DVM
VeterinarianDr. Bocking hails from Vancouver Island. After completing her veterinary degree Dr. Bocking did a 1 year internship at the Small Animal Hospital at W.C.V.M. In her spare time Dr. Bocking enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family.

Arlana Powell, AHT
Office AdministratorArlana graduated from Fairview College in 1981 and has worked in many clinics as a Veterinary Technologist. She is our capable Office Administrator. Arlana is calm, focused, organized and helpful and she loves gardening, quilting, family and pets.

Kyra Mueller, RVT
Veterinary TechnologistKrya became a member of the SAH family in while in Grade 11 and has since graduated from the veterinary technician program at Olds College in 2018. She is known for her calm demeanor and is a very fast learner. Kyra loves all things soccer and the Bernese Mountain dog.

Coreen Lunt, RVT
Veterinary TechnologistCoreen graduated from Thompson Rivers University in 1988 and we’ve had the pleasure of working with her since 1994. She is efficient, hardworking and supportive – and her talents shine in the OR. Coreen loves family, soccer, running, travel and gardening.

Jocelyn Lavoie, RVT
Veterinary TechnologistJocelyn, a Thompson Rivers University graduate, has been with us since 1995. She is kind, compassionate, hardworking, supportive and an essential part of our team. Jocelyn loves gardening, soapmaking, cooking, reading and learning new things.

Lynn Burks, AHT
Veterinary TechnologistLynn graduated from Thompson Rivers University in 1996, but she’s been with us since 2004 (although she’s been working in pet care since 1990!). She is thorough, kind, caring and dedicated. Lynn loves gourmet cooking, kayaking and animals.

Marrissa, RVT
Veterinary TechnologistMarrissa began working with us as a kennel assistant and has since graduated from TRU as an Animal Health Technician. Her interests include: family, friends, travel, the outdoors and everything country music! She is known for her positive and cheerful attitude.

Pat Webster
ReceptionistPat has worked in veterinary offices for most of her career and in 2008 she brought her expertise to ours! Sweet, calm and supportive, Pat is an effervescent presence in our office. She loves pets, quilting, gardening and friends.

Vanessa
Veterinary AssistantExcept for a brief hiatus in the human medical field, Vanessa has worked as a veterinary assistant since 2006. She is energetic, organized and efficient. Vanessa loves spending time with her two kids, going to the gym, coaching/playing soccer and traveling.

Veterinary AssistantJ graduated from the West Coast College of Health Care in 2004 and she has been with us since 2014. She is knowledgeable, hardworking and thorough – a great addition to our team. She loves hiking, camping, natural health and nutrition.

Veterinary AssistantNicole graduated from the WCC as a Veterinary Assistant in 2004 and has been with us since March 2015. She enjoys family time, crocheting, camping, and antique shopping. Her upbeat personality is infectious and she is a great team player.
